This one-day workshop will help participants learn how to apply for small grants (under $50,000) for nonprofits, community groups, agencies, schools, and faith based organizations. Come learn about when to apply for a grant, how to know when you are ready, how to create a grant budget, and how to work with funders.
Racial Equity for Nonprofits
Fridays, June 22 & June 29 (9:00am -2:30 pm)
In this two-day workshop we will develop a deeper understanding of race as a ‘social construct’ and its unseen role in each participant’s life; explore the role of implicit bias in determining our behaviors despite our best intentions; and help participants understand the four dimensions of racism and bias and their impacts on nonprofits while introducing best practices & approaches to common problems surrounding race. The event will be facilitated by Ron White & Iva Dubyak at the Humboldt Area Foundation in Bayside. Members $50 & Non-Members $60.
Tuesday, August 7 (9:30am-4:30pm)
his full day workshop is facilitated by Erika Wright & Carol Vander Meer. Crafting grants for nonprofits, community groups, agencies, schools, faith based organizations, or local government is the primary focus. It does not address grant funding for individuals or for-profit businesses. Lunch is included in the fee.
