Born and raised in Crescent City, I have worked in 3 very different professional capacities: from Investor Relations/Marketing in the Biotech industry - *career highlight* taking a drug to market; to starting a Dotcom; and finally, entering the nonprofit sector as an Event Manager, fundraising and planning events for the Okizu Foundation.
Returning home in 2004, I jumped feet first into owning a business. Just after opening, I met my husband Jim and his children, Mercedes and Andrew. With our daughter Charleston, we have grown the business from a small balloon counter into an 8,000 square foot retail & rental store in Downtown. One of the greatest things about owning our own business, is hiring and mentoring students - often in their first job role and encouraging their growth and potential.
My other passion has been working tenaciously for 18 years to revitalize Downtown, and I founded a nonprofit in 2006 to pursue that work.
