TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS Print E-mail

The Technical Assistance Program (TAP) is a project of the Rooney Resource Center
, within the Humboldt Area Foundation. As with other Resource Center services, TAP is available to organizations and community groups in Humboldt, Del Norte and Trinity counties.

About TAP
TAP is a small award program which provides organizations with one-on-one technical assistance with a consultant of their choice. Awards can also be sued for training, workshops, self-paced manuals or software. TAP awards typically range from $500 to $2,000.  Areas of assistance may include: strategic planning, financial management, operational assessments, board development, program assessments, personnel issues, collaboration building, executive coaching, succession planning, exit strategy planning, and fundraising.

TAP will not pay for grantwriting, programmatic development or for duties that are typically handled by staff (e.g. data entry).

Please note: TAP applications and information shared with Resource Center staff and the TAP selection committee during the evaluation process will not reflect on grant applications to the Humboldt Area Foundation.  The foundation recognizes the many challenges faced by local nonprofits and community groups and encourages the use of TAP.
