BOARD SEMINAR APPLICATION |

Customized Board Seminars are designed for organizations that want board training but have a limited budget. When you sign-up for a seminar, we will match you with a trainer who will work with your executive director and/or board president to tailor and deliver a session that meets your specific needs. The seminar can be scheduled for a regular or special board meeting, and can be held wherever you choose.
Furthermore, the Rooney Resource Center will match your commitment to board excellence dollar for dollar - you pay just half the normal training fee.
The Resource Center can help your organization find and select an appropriate consultant for the seminar. If you choose a consultant unfamiliar to the Center, we will request materials that allow us to evaluate his or her qualifications. Call us for more information or return the registration form below, without payment, and we will contact you to discuss timing and make a consultant match.

Maximum paid by Resource Center $250
These sessions focus on your board’s operational and developmental needs. They may include, an overview of the major elements involved in building and maintaining an effective board, a review of basic roles and responsibilities, an analysis of board structure options, an overview of tools for effective meetings, or may focus on developing new ideas. No matter what the focus, they will be designed to recharge and refocus your board.
Strategic Planning, Planning for Fundraising or Other Customized Board Strategy Session
Fee: Average cost to agency $250
Average match by Resource Center $250
Maximum paid by Resource Center $500
If your board is ready for planning, we can help. These seminars include pre-planning interviews and meetings, a 4 to 6 hour planning session, and a post-session report.
