Due to our limited trash and recycling facilities, we request that all groups take their recycling with them when they leave and that trash be taken away by large groups or those generating an exceptional amount of waste. Thank you for your cooperation.

If you are having difficulties with your after hours meeting room reservation, please contact:   Jill Moore - (925) 698-5127

Please allow for set up and clean up time when scheduling your meeting.  Actual meetings are not to start any earlier than 8:30a.m..  The fee for using the meeting rooms when the office is closed is $10 per hour (with a $40 minimum).  Reservations for evening and weekend use must be made at least two weeks in advance and must be secured with payment.  If you cancel your event with less than 3 days notice you will only be eligible for a 50% refund of any payment required.  A reservation form must be received in our office within two weeks of your reservation call, in order to confirm and hold your reservation. The Foundation reserves the right to refuse use of the rooms to any group.

Equipment:  If you need to use our audio-visual equipment, you must request it at the time the room reservation is made and availability may vary.  The condition of the equipment will be checked when you receive it, and if you find any problems, please notify our staff immediately.  If you are unfamiliar with the equipment you reserve, you must arrange to be trained by HAF staff at least 3 working days prior to your event date.

Kitchen Equipment Use:  A catering kitchen is available for your use in our Community Center, however HAF Staff and other Community Groups may also need to use it. The kitchen is equipped with microwave oven, stovetop, oven, refrigerator, pot & pans, dishware and flatware. The kitchen also has two 8-10cup coffee makers and coffee thermoses available for your use.  You will need to supply everything else including all food, beverages, tupperware or plastic bags for leftovers and paper products. It is your responsibility to wash, dry and put away all dishes and equipment used by your group and leave the kitchen area as you found it.

Cleaning:  A cleaning check list is posted in all rooms and kitchens.  It is your responsibility to complete all of the items on the checklist prior to leaving the facility.  It is your responsibility to allow for set-up and clean-up time when considering your reservation beginning and ending times.  Use of the roundtables requires that they be put away by your group at the end of your event.  Other furniture can be left as is, when done.

Smoking Policy:  There can be no smoking within 30 feet of any building, including all walkways/entrances, and cigarette butts must be disposed of in the proper receptacle.  Please share this with your attendees. Humboldt Area Foundation prefers that you refrain from smoking on the premises.

Charging Fees for Events:  If you are charging a fee to attend your event you must provide proof of nonprofit status.
