The Humboldt Area Foundation has three meeting rooms *available for community use:

Vietor Retreat Room

Terms of Use: Nonprofit organizations and community groups may use the meeting rooms free of charge during our normal operating hours. Reservation times will not be scheduled to begin earlier than 8:00 a.m. or scheduled to end later than 10:00 p.m. to allow for set up and clean up time. Actual meetings are not to start any earlier than 8:30 am. The fee for using the meeting rooms when the office is closed is $10 per hour ($30 minimum). Reservations for evening and weekend use must be made at least two weeks in advance and must be secured with payment. If you cancel your event with less than 3 days notice you will only be eligible for a 50% refund of any payment required. Vietor Retreat Room is available for use Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This room is not available Sundays The key to this room and gate code will need to be picked up prior to after hours meetings. A reservation form must be received in our office within two weeks of your reservation call, in order to confirm and hold your reservation. Foundation reserves the right to refuse use of the rooms to any group.
For everyone’s travel safety, meetings may not be scheduled to begin or end during the peak traffic hour of 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Vietor Retreat Room parking is extremely limited (11 spaces). Carpooling is strongly encouraged.
Equipment: If you need to use our audio-visual equipment, you must request it at the time the room reservation is made. The condition of the equipment will be checked when you receive it, and if you find any problems, please notify our staff immediately. If you are unfamiliar with the equipment you reserve, you must arrange to be trained by HAF staff at least 3 working days prior to your event date.
Kitchen Equipment Use: A catering kitchen is available for your use in our Community Center. The kitchen is equipped with microwave oven, stovetop, oven, refrigerator, pot & pans, dishware and flatware. The kitchen also has several coffee makers (with filters) and coffee thermoses available for your use. The Vietor Retreat Roomhas a kitchenette with mini-fridge, sink, microwave and coffeepot (with filters). There are also glasses, coffee mugs, dishware and flatware. You will need to supply everything else including all food, beverages and paper products. It is your responsibility to wash, dry and put away all dishes and equipment used by your group and leave the kitchen area as you found it.
Cleaning: A cleaning checklistis posted in all rooms and kitchens. It is your responsibility to complete all of the items on the checklist prior to leaving the facility. It is your responsibility to allow for set-up and clean-up time when considering your reservation beginning and ending times. Use of the roundtables requires that they be put away by your group at the end of your event. Other furniture can be left as is, when done.
Smoking Policy: There shall be no smoking within 30 feet of any building and cigarette butts must be disposed of in the proper receptacle. Humboldt Area Foundation prefers that you refrain from smoking on the premises.
Alcohol Policy: Groups who plan to serve alcohol at their event, must provide the Foundation with proof of insurance two weeks prior to the scheduled event.
Charging Fees for Events: If you are charging a fee to attend your event you must provide proof of nonprofit status.

Cleaning: The Cleaning/Security Checklist is posted in the room. It is your responsibility to complete all of the items on the checklist prior to leaving the facility.
